Steven Baldwin, CEO & President

Steven Baldwin has long been captivated by aviation and the challenges of modern airport management. A deep sense of pride and ownership in the services he has provided to airports throughout his career is what motivated him to found his own aviation consulting firm. As a seasoned airport professional with over three decades of executive management experience, Steve is able to keenly understand our clients’ needs and marshal our resources on their behalf. Prior to his consulting work, Steve was responsible for day-to-day operations at two New York state-owned and -operated airports, each with governor-appointed commissions. Steve received his Bachelors degree at Florida Institute of Technology’s School of Aeronautics, a well-known aviation university; he earned his Masters in Public Administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the State University of New York in Albany. Joel Russell, Senior Associate

Joel Russell brings 37 years of senior airport management experience to the firm. Joel served as Airport Manager at both Albany International Airport (Albany, NY) and Westchester County Airport (White Plains, NY), and he was a senior manager at Teterboro Airport, the oldest operating airport in New York/New Jersey metropolitan region. Joel has been involved in all aspects of airport management, including: new terminal construction, oversight of significant and sensitive environmental issues, management of security requirements, and ensuring compliance with all Part 139 standards and requirements. Joel holds a Masters degree in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle University, and a B.A. in Economics from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). As the past president of the New York Aviation Management Association (NYAMA), Joel continues to be an active member in the organization. In 2015, Joel was named as the Bill Shea Award recipient for his “tremendous efforts and accomplishments in support of aviation in New York State” by NYAMA. Alex Hopson, Associate

Alex Hopson has more than 16 years of international aviation experience. Within the private sector, he previously worked for national and international industry leaders, including: Clear Channel Airports as the Director of Contracts and Legal Affairs; as a project manager for the Institut für Operations Research und Management GmbH; and as an analyst for Continental and Atlas Airlines. Within the public sector, Alex has served as the Concessions Manager for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. During his career, Alex has designed business plans, conducted distribution audits, researched consumer trends, created positioning statements, analyzed competitive data sets, recommended strategic ways to boost brand equity, and evaluated laws, finances, and policies of various governance models. Since joining the firm, he has been primarily handled the regulatory and financial matters of our clients. Alex holds a J.D. from Cleveland State University; as an undergraduate, he interned at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Alex received his Bachelors in Aviation Management from Delaware State University, and he is also a licensed FAA Dispatcher. Alex can be reached at ahopson@baldwinllc.com.

Penny Perkins, Associate II

Penny Perkins’ professional career in strategic communications spans 30 years in a variety of industries, including aviation, technology, financial services, education, arts, and non-profits. At SBA, Penny is responsible for editing and formatting client materials and other firm communications. As a writer, editor, and graphic designer, her work has been published in such venues as About.com, Salon.com, The Motion Picture Guide, and several literary magazines. Her fine art photography has been shown at dozens of galleries, museums, and juried exhibitions around the country. Before joining the firm, she was an assistant professor in communications and interdisciplinary studies at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. Penny holds a Bachelors with Honors in Philosophy from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, and a Masters in English from the University at Albany in Albany, NY. In May 2015, she earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM. Penny can be reached at pperkins@baldwinllc.com.

Spencer Gillette, Associate II

Spencer Gillette has worked on several client projects, including serving a key role of helping establish a new, independent Airport Authority for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Previously, Spencer served as an intern for our firm on the same project. A graduate in aviation management at Western Michigan University (WMU), Spencer brings five years of experience in aviation line operations and customer service to his work with us. At WMU, Spencer was active in his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta, which stresses leadership development and community service, where he served as chair of the scholarship committee. He also served as an associate justice for the WMU student association where he helped interpret the student body constitution and deliberated on campus judicial hearings. Spencer has a passion for flying and has completed his private pilot license with instrument rating at WMU’s distinguished College of Aviation. Spencer can be reached at sgillette@baldwinllc.com.

 

Bridget Strockoz, Manager, Business Development

Bridget Bradley-Strockoz has 10 years of business development experience, with four of those years in the aviation industry. Prior to joining SBA, Bridget worked with Steve in a large consulting firm as a Business Development Specialist where she oversaw a variety of activities including: branding, proposal management, memberships, conferences, trade shows, advertising, and other business development work specific to the aviation market. Currently, Bridget is managing strategic pursuits of airport projects nationally; she is well-known by our clients and has a proven track record of helping accelerate the firm’s growth. Marco Ingoglia, Associate

Marco Ingoglia has more than 15 years experience in program and project management in various industry sectors, including A&E, industrial manufacturing, and large non-profit organizations throughout the Northeastern United States. In addition to his broad knowledge in project and program management, Marco brings a high level of customer service expertise to our clients. Marco supports major client initiatives in the areas of business and organizational analysis, and program administration; he also has expertise in workforce and personnel needs assessment, as well as providing client services related to recruitment and retention.
